Vinyasa Yoga is a ‘style’ of yoga that connects breath to movement; also known as “flow yoga.” Vinyasa yoga links one asana/pose to another using the breathe to create fluidity while strengthening the body and mind. Through a creative series of asanas/postures the teacher prepares you for a more challenging ‘peak’ pose. Because the Vinyasa yoga poses are linked together; during this practice you will smoothly transition from pose to pose while building strength, endurance and flexibility. This ‘style’ of yoga is for everyone, all levels (beginner-advanced) & no experience needed.

Yin Yoga will allow you to reduce stress, calm and balance body and mind. It can help you improve your flexibility and mobility. We‘ll work to free up the energy in the body, making your Organs happy.

What is Yin Yoga?

In Yin Yoga we move at a slower pace, holding poses for up to five minutes. Instead of heating up, we relax the muscles as much as possible. In these passive poses we can work the deeper connective tissues – tendons, ligaments and fascia.

You are the Yin to my Yang <3

Yin completes a more heating yang practice, such as Vinyasa yoga, running or weight exercise. In Yin we slow things down and turn inward. A wonderful antidote in today‘s fast-paced world.

Join Eva every Wednesday evening at 21.00 at Womanhood Studio for an hour of Yin yoga starting from August 29.

Come join us for this 2-hour workshop to learn how fascia can restrict our movement and how to work with the body to create strength, flexibility, freedom and space.

“Myo-” refers to muscle and “fascial” references fascia, or the mesh of connective tissue that envelopes muscles and bones, among other functions. During fascial release, pressure is applied to the connective tissue in numerous forms including block work, ball work, and rolling.

During this session we will explore different ways to enable the body to release tension, stress and pain. Incorporating Pilates exercises and gentle, sustained pressure and stretch throughout restricted areas, to allow the tissue to soften and lengthen naturally.

In this workshop we will introduce 'Myofascial trigger point therapy'. We will also be exposed to the practice of self-massage, one of the keystones of self-care.

You will experience and learn:

* How, where and when to do self-massage
* Specific techniques for applying trigger point-massage caring for
the feet, hip, shoulder and thigh muscles.
* Lower back pain relief by releasing trigger points in Gluteus Medius.

And most importantly, learn how to make this practice a part of your daily and/or weekly self-care routine to the benefit of your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.
