There are many benefits to Aerial Yoga. We work on motor skills and balance, develop body awareness. Through play we work on building strength while we also work on our social skills.

Each class starts with a little bit of mindfulness and we end with a yummy relaxation the hammocks.

Yin completes a more heating yang practice, such as Vinyasa yoga, running or weight exercise. In Yin we slow things down and turn inward. A wonderful antidote in today‘s fast-paced world.

In our Prenatal Aerial classes the hammock (sling) will be used to remove pressure from certain areas of the body, release tension, and build strength and flexibility to prepare for labor.

Changing of your body and upcoming needs will be discussed in-between exercises, while being appropriately gentle and safe for you and your baby.

For prenatal use, our hammocks are just another tool preparing your mind, body, emotions and spirit for birth. No difficult or acrobatic poses should be expected like we would use the slings generally in a typical aerial yoga class.

You will practice to:
- Listen to your body, staying true to you in every moment
- Being present
- Being kind to yourself, and take deep breaths.

Added bonus: some guided meditation and savasana in the hammock, letting the sensation of weightlessness melt away your tension.

You will leave feeling like you truly worked your body, yet in a safe, conscious and effective manner.

No previous experience practicing Yoga or Pilates is required. Al stages of pregnancy are welcome.

HYT is empowering and woman focused. It was specifically designed by Dinah Rodrigues for women with complaints caused by hormonal imbalances.

HYT is a natural and holistic approach to reactivating hormone production. This therapy doesn’t involves medicine, instead, it strongly focusses on dynamically self-support techniques in achieving a healthier, balanced life-style. Hormone Yoga is suitable for women of all ages, with or without yoga experience.

HYT involves a series of 14 detailed yoga exercises that stimulate and massage ovaries, adrenals, thyroid, parathyroid and pituitary glands – the whole hormonal system. It naturally increases the production of hormones in those glands and eliminates most of the symptoms experienced mostly during menopause. This therapeutical sequence is drawn from Hatha, Kundalini yoga and Tibetan Energy practices.

Once women hit 35 our hormone levels start to drop and eventually we enter the menopause. A bit about our teacher:
Nicola Machalová graduated as a psychologist after five years of studying this field in Czech Republic. For her master thesis she specialized in dance-movement therapy techniques for infertile women. With her growing interest in body and movement, in 2016 she traveled to India and graduated as a yoga teacher. Soon afterwards she got certificated for Hormone yoga therapy in Brighton, UK.

Once women hit 35 our hormone levels start to drop and eventually we enter the menopause. There are all kinds of side effects to the imbalances that occur during this time: hot flushes, emotional instability, insomnia, anxiety, weight gain, fatigue, low libido, stiffness in joints, depression, migraine…and the list goes on.

WHY you should practice?
This therapeutic sequence helps women all over the world with menstrual problems, with difficulties to get pregnant, hirsutism, mood swings, hot flushes, hair loss, migraines, hypoactive thyroid, insomnia, osteoporosis, hair loss and others.

WHAT you can expect from our workshop?
At 8 hours workshop we will go through the whole sequence of therapy in detail. You will get the scripts with every single exercise described in it, so during the lectures you can take notes. Theory, practice and questions - this all will be on our program. After four repetitions of sequence at the workshops, you will be ready to practice at home with your scripts. Beside this, you will also learn several effective breathing and relaxation exercises which you can use in daily life.

A bit about our teacher:
Nicola Machalová graduated as a psychologist after five years of studying this field in Czech Republic. For her master thesis she specialized in dance-movement therapy techniques for infertile women. With her growing interest in body and movement, in 2016 she traveled to India and graduated as a yoga teacher. Soon afterwards she got certificated for Hormone yoga therapy in Brighton, UK.

What is Yin Yoga?
In Yin Yoga we move at a slower pace, holding poses for up to five minutes. Instead of heating up, we relax the muscles as much as possible. In these passive poses we can work the deeper connective tissues - tendons, ligaments and fascia.

You are the Yin to my Yang ♥
Yin completes a more heating yang practice, such as Vinyasa yoga, running or weight exercise. In Yin we slow things down and turn inward. A wonderful antidote in today‘s fast-paced world.

The voice guiding you will let your mind balance on that edge between sleep and awake, while awareness moves gradually on a journey through your physical body and to the more subtler dimensions of the breath and mind.

Yoga Nidra is a beautiful way to reach total physical, mental and emotional relaxation. At Womanhood Studio the Yoga Nidra sessions are practiced in our Aerial hammocks. The hammocks fully support your body in a comfortable way, reducing pressure that you might feel practicing on a yoga mat. Some of our clients have compared laying in our hammocks to floating.

No experience needed, both men and woman are welcome.

Please wear comfortable and warm clothes (bring warm socks!). To keep our hammocks safe and clean we ask you to not wear clothing with buttons or zippers and to please remove your make-up before coming to class!
